Ask Kathryn about Computer Stress

Frustrated working on a computer all day?

Frustrated working on a computer all day?

Q: Kathryn, I’m an entrepreneur who quit my boring job in the corporate world only 10 months ago. The issues I’m having with technology, passwords, updates, viruses and social media take up all day! I don’t have an IT GUY at home to help. I’m thinking of punching out my PC and going back to work. Can feng shui help me?

A: You do sound frustrated. I hear you. Working alone without full-time IT support can be frustrating!

Should you punch out your computer? ~ No.

  • But, can you? ~Absolutely! But first, back it up.

Surely, it is possible to have a bad day, and stress can certainly push your limits. People don’t like to talk about it much, particularity if they are in a business to promote peace, love and harmony. But, it does happen!

These past few weeks have been the most frustrating, dampness in the evenings, moon retrograde and high temps mid-day. Perhaps better planning is required! Vitamin D deficiency is high in the northern parts of North America year ’round; and I’m not making this up!

I‘m not sure what type of business you are in. If you are heading down the road to frustration and poor decisions, take a look at your Helpful People Area; just inside the front door to your immediate right.

Can you find an IT GUY that can problem-solve for you?

To revive your clarity of thought, you can paint this area a very sober white or soft grey, for clarity.  (I used a soft grey-blue for my personal home) Decorate with items such as rounded brass pots or an oval mirror and other metals.

This is also a great place to display any deities or religious symbols that resonate with you.
A fine fragrance of eucalyptus, tea tree, or thyme can be fabulous for clearing mental energy. Or, if you are into crystals, some rocks are suited for this stable task: agate, amber, jade and opal.

Consider taking a stretch break or a long walk when you are frustrated with your computer. If you still want to hit something, perhaps a cheaper way to let off steam would be to run the vacuum around the house. It makes a lot of noise and can suck up all kinds of stuff. Just saying…

Call me if you’d like to talk further.

All the best,

Kathryn
