Collecting ‘Gold Stars’ can Change Your Luck!

Look for opportunities to ‘Pay it Forwards’.

We learn as children in school, or organizations like girl guides and scouts, that doing ‘good deeds’ is a good thing; but these lessons go much further in life.
When we do something ‘nice’ for someone, it doesn’t have to be a big deal. The little things such as opening a door for someone, reaching for something off the top shelve, offering encouragement, carry a package or even a smile can brighten someone’s day!

One of ‘The Five Lucks’ in Chinese tradition is: ‘doing good deeds’. Although it is 4,000 yrs old, the teachings and lessons passed down from generation to generation are still in practice today. In many religions, practical ethics are taught; doing good deeds for people is seen as banking good karma.
The logic is: if we pay it forward today, tomorrow’s loads will be lighter and brighter. That good karma will follow us everywhere, in the future.
I think of these good deeds, mentally, as ‘collecting gold stars’. Many people already look for ways to help each other; in families, neighborhoods or in our work. Helping people can become natural in our chosen profession.

When paying forward, the reward is often a warm connection filled with human kindness and compassion.

~ As we continue our journey through life, and all its changes, one cannot imagine what trials are just around the corner. We fret sometimes, trying to figure it all out, but we can’t really predict the future.
I speculate with this almost daily, as I’m setting goals for my business and clients; to do better, get ahead and ultimately become a better person. I need not worry as I do instill a value to assist others and help in any way I can.

Making a conscious effort to ‘do good deeds’ and ‘collect gold stars’ can lead you into places you may never have seen before; it is a great feeling. To change your luck, you may need to change some behavior to allow you to grow.
Take the time each day to do one good deed. With a little hope, and prayers, this will start a process that will move across the globe; bringing warmth, security and a brighter future for our next generation.
Pay it forward, before you get paid. Show your faith in the system and trust that together we can make a difference.
