Practical Steps to Success #13: Knowledge is Power

We are born to grow and change, as nothing stays exactly the same. In growing up, we have different phases in life.

First we grow physically. Then we grow intellectually in our learning years. When we get out of school and settled into our careers, we proceed to grow our bank accounts. And, it shouldn’t end there.

The Knowledge Area in feng shui, (in most cases -located inside the front door to the left), is not just for acquiring facts and theories for students. Knowledge includes self-discovery, problem solving skills, choices and learning to be a better person.

Self-cultivation can open up a whole new perspective in life. If we are bored with our career choice, or our role as a parent or caretaker: look at all these accomplishments as stepping stones into the next chapter of life.

Continued growth is important to maintain a vital interest in the world around us. As we grow older and more sedentary, waiting for fill-in-the-blank, one needs to step out of our comfort zone and exercise the brain. To learn more is; to see, to do, to go, to find… our inspirations.

~ I met with a senior a few years ago; she decided to finish law school after she retired!

~ Another senior, recovering after his wife died, took up the cello!

We don’t have to wait until our senior years to start a new chapter. Take the initiative today to learn something new – perhaps check out a new book. By staying alert to explore new things, we become better, well rounded people; and will attract more interesting experiences.

Yes, knowledge does have power. The synergy of knowledge creates ideas for change and advancement for the future.

Testimonials

Kathryn is very much a professional, I’ve known her for a number of years and from the start have tried to make changes to my home and office based on her suggestions, recommendations and the Feng Shui principles she teaches.

I asked her to come over for a quick walk-about after we experienced a break in.  A number of issues came up, fortunately none had anything to do with the break in.  She discovered my home office was of particularity full of negative energy which is why for years I’ve had a… Read more
