STUCK in the MUCK

‘EVER GET STUCK ALONG THE WAY?

So, it’s a brand new year; or maybe it’s a brand new something. Yet, you are stuck. Do you find yourself spending too much time looking at the (unknown) future, or looking back with regret!

Either way, you aren’t PRESENT to make any decisions! – No wonder that you’re stuck!

I’ve been there. I understand.

Moving forward has risk; fear of the unknown. The ‘unknown’ component often has a cost factor, a time factor and could have an impact on others. Contemplation of the future often creates anxiety; a common stressor in today’s society. Chronic anxiety can freeze up your entire body; unable to think, move or grow.

Looking backwards often creates regret, such as, ‘What was I thinking!’ When we re-hash the past, we re-play scenarios; changing or re-framing the issues involved. These should-a, could-a, would-a’s can’t help you now.

Being STUCK in the past, takes a vicious hold on growth, confidence and your health. It takes courage to look back to embrace the lessons of good or bad, and take them forward.

If you are truly stuck: a wise woman once suggested to me to ‘take a look at what’s behind you to see how far you’ve come’. Those words gave me the shot I needed to turn around and take another step into the unknown.  That step of ‘change’ or movement takes courage; confidence that no-matter-what I’ll land on my feet!

An interesting quote from James J. Lachard; talking about humanity:

~ Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money, he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then, he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present. The result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then, dies having never really lived.

There are many ways to get out of the MUCK. Some people sit in it long enough to evaluate -before crawling out; others stay in there too long and  lose themselves, and another will jump out of the muck right away! The key is not to sit in the muck too long as it becomes much harder to get back on your feet.

If you are looking to get ‘unstuck’ with whatever is happening in your life right now, (job, career, partnership or uncomfortable situation) you have to trust in something. Believe that somewhere down the road, life is going to unroll just the way it is supposed to, will make the difference.

No perfect day can continuously repeat itself; the mind and the body also have an ebb and flow. It’s a lot like yin and yang, the cambium rhythm of our bodies. You know by now that life is full of ups and downs; recognize this as you’ll see it again.

No action is WORSE than a wrong-action.  A person needs to keep moving to grow and learn. Believe me, I’ve taken a side-track more than once in my life. I’ve come full-circle, back to the same crossroads, and learned from it. Taking a wrong-turn isn’t always bad; you get a chance to see another side of the story of life.

Here are a few questions to ask yourself; perhaps these will be the MOST important questions to answer to date.

  1. What more do you want to do in life? ~ Experiences, knowledge, people.
  2. How do you wish to grow? ~ Learn from others.
  3. How do you want to give back to society? ~ Leave a legacy behind.

Feng Shui, the art of placement, has often been referred to as the Art of Manipulation. (good manipulation) It’s a way of rearranging things to support oneself in the quest to cultivate prosperity/joy/abundance to come into their lives. If you get connected with the energy of things and people in your life, everything begins to flow.

It’s different for everyone.  The layers of prosperity can be complicated, but surprises always happen. The key is to be able to RECOGNIZE the opportunity ahead of you, and be brave enough to grasp it – before it disappears.

Your trust may be with God, the Universe, the Source. Or, you may be more influenced by a spouse, financial issues or political pressures. Wherever you are, and whatever you are searching for, be true to yourself.

~

My wish for you all is to try and be still; be quiet, for at least 5 minutes a day. Breathe. Connect with the things you love, be grateful for how far you’ve come, and look forward to the journey ahead.

Life doesn’t have to be hard, it can be good!

Warmth, Kathryn
