Ask Kathryn about Grandma’s Mirror

Q: I was given my favorite grandmother’s old oval mirror. It has some fancy carvings along the edge of the glass and some of the silver has been scraped on the back. Can I use this mirror for feng shui cures?

A: I love the fact that you have a mirror from your grandmother! Anytime you accept a used item from anyone:

  • Be sure that YOU LOVE THE ITEM!
  • CONFIRM that the item comes from a person you respect and trust.
  • DON’T ever accept any guilt ridden items into your house!

When you bring something into your home with ‘imperfections’, it affects the strength of the item. If you need the mirror to act as a ‘cure’ for something particular, I’d find one without blemishes to do the job.

Since it came from your ‘favorite grandmother’, it should have good karma and therefore could be used to bring good vibes for you in your space. 🙂

Go ahead and display this mirror with love, admiration and respect; a piece of love from your favorite grandmother.

When you hang it, be sure that it reflects items that you want to see more of…and opportunities will follow.

I have a few more questions (after the Home Harmony visit) about things but I’ll start off with an update. I am feeling very good and my space feels very good and fresh as well. I am loving the new layout with my desk and I just got rid of one of my chairs yesterday. The new spaces for the art feels right. I’ve decluttered the area behind my desk, and I’ve made a few beautiful little touch-ups in my bedroom to hopefully attract some more wealth! No further on the job search because I’m j… Read more
