Greetings!
Yes, the holidays are here and I can’t think of a better thing to do than visit the greenhouses and take in the bright colours and scents of fall. Colour therapy is important this time of year! I was able to visit Allan Gardens while visiting Toronto last week, and here are a few pictures to share!
Happy Holidays!

Raise the Chi!
When you make an effort to present yourself with a positive effort, you will attract more respect; opportunities will unfold.
Q: What does feng shui say about ripped jeans and distressed clothing? Why does it seem that people are ‘dressing down’ in order to ‘dress up’? Does this make any sense? Thanks.
A: Yes, it is interesting how the fashion industry can justify anything as long as they have an audience.
People are drawn to drama; bad…
To Recap the workshop last Friday November 13th, 2015:
Re: Taking Command: ‘Practical Feng Shui for the Entrepreneur!’
We had a great time last week at the workshop! People came into Vancouver all the way from Lion’s Bay! All participants are now armed with the tools they need for SUCCESS next year! So, watch for more leading entrepreneurs on the horizon!
Here are some comments about the workshop:
Q: What was the biggest impact or lesson you learned today?

A large majority of our senior population are water-people. These individuals have worked hard in their lives, specialists in their professions and have experienced many of life’s lessons. They bring a plethora of knowledge to the equation. Experience has shaped their philosophy and we look up to them for guidance and direction. Similar to the wise owl in the woods, people turn to them for spiritual guidance and understanding.
Water people enjoy solitude and quiet environments to process their contemplative…
House Plants Can Purify the Air
We will be spending more time indoors over the next few months, so providing a healthy indoor environment for everyone is high on the list!
Not only do house plants provide oxygen/carbon monoxide exchange to cleanse the air, some varieties can detoxify! How cool is that?
As a feng shui Consultant, I often suggest live plants to counter the effects of EMF’s (Electro-Magnetic Fields) from computers and wireless technology. I recommend many of these…
More and more adults are finding time to have fun!
Bringing back a little child’s play can lighten your mood and bring opportunities to meet new people.
I‘m pleased and surprised at a small group of ‘Over 55’s’ gathering to fly their kites! Not just ordinary kites, but stunt kites!
I overheard a conversation this past weekend: “Hey! Want to meet at Vanier Park and fly our kites this afternoon?” Did you know there are instructions on a website to…
Riding out the Drought
Imagine that you are settled into your business: you have a game plan, doing what you need to do, following what the clients’ needs are… and something changes.
Your cash flow gets interrupted and there’s been a shift in the industry. The leads have dried up and a few related businesses have died on the vine. You’re still okay, and you are still standing. But what happened? Hmmm. It’s time to look around.
And, you are…
The trees are changing daily, almost moment by moment; displaying their colours of red, orange and gold. They can be reflective, energizing or anywhere in between!
‘Colour’ is one of the basic cures in feng shui. It is one of the easiest cures to comprehend, and yet, it is often subliminal. When connecting with a colour, a purpose arises, a slow churn in the brain to process…hmmm. The task becomes passionate, a drive or a magnetism that resonates within. Our…
Evergreen trees are magnificent in the North West part of North America. In fact, they are magnificent anywhere in the world! They stand tall and proud. They have respect and trust in a society as they provide food and homes for birds and animals. Some evergreen trees can live more than 500 years and maintain a powerful spiritual presence.
As evergreen trees have energy, they have protective qualities; therefore make a wise choice to plant in your front yard. Their…
Ask Kathryn
Hi Kathryn,
Thanks for taking the time to look at my office.
I work in Toronto at an administrative building close to the U of T. The buildings are old, old, old and sliced into skinny offices with high ceilings; think of the Harry Potter series with dark wood, heavy trim and windows up about 16 or 20’. My office is only 10-12 feet wide and about 30’ long with a window at the end.
I…
