Dreaming Your Life Away?

Do you see a face in these clouds? This is the statue of Kuan Yin, the Goddess of Compassion. She seems to have an omnipotent presence in the sky beside her. Is this a message for her or to us? What does this say to you?

Take a look overhead today and see what the clouds are doing. Stretch your imagination. Serious daydreamers are extremely creative! They replay scenarios, conjure up delightful solutions to problems and like to think out of the box. (Their super hero powers can leap tall buildings in a single bound!)

Daydreaming works best when you are alone or with a kindred soul. It is not wasting time to stop, look out the window and dream for a few minutes. This is productive time if it helps you to regroup and discover answers for the bigger picture: Where do I want to go? And, how do I get there? Smaller goals can help to get you moving on the larger ones.

Revisit your successes when the time allows for more dreaming…And, allow yourself the option to replay the scenario over and over, until you make it work.

Sadly, daydreaming is often frowned upon… mainly because the dreamer isn’t paying attention to the task at hand. And, yes, it is impolite to drift off when someone is talking to you. Your timing is everything. In fact, some days, you may need to wait until the lights are out to start daydreaming!
