You’ll be surprised, how much less you accomplish on the short days of winter. These grey skies make everyone lose interest in all activities. No wonder that we run out of ‘time’ to get things completed.
The long days of winter were designated long ago for us to slow down, save precious energy for any catastrophe, and hibernate until spring. In reality, our bodies are in hibernation mode and our brain logic tells us that we are in planning mode for the New Year!
Yin and yang energy are opposites. Yin refers to quiet, soft slow feminine, energy (such as snoozing); where yang refers to loud, action, fast movements, and masculine energy (such as playing in the sun).
To bring in more YANG energy each day, YOU NEED LIGHT! This is your starting point for each day. Turn up the lights while you are working; add an extra lamp if needed. These foggy days can mess with your mind …enticing you to have a nap or drink more coffee (or both).
You’ll be the first to notice the change, be more productive and know that spring daylight is on its way!
All the best,
Kathryn
