T’is the season; but it is never the ‘Norman Rockwell’ scene in real life. Our society and expectations of the holidays can easily become a disappointment, time-and-time again. I remember one of ‘those years’ as a single mom, working retail around the clock. I tried to nix the family dinner for my own sanity, and then, I had a big problem with everyone anyways!
