The Nine Life Areas, in feng shui, are set in a specific order that you can relate to on any surface small or large. When assessing your goals and what you want out of life, you can utilize this grid to find areas that need attention. You can choose specific objects to help you focus, and enhance some of these areas you require to meet your working goals. This grid can be placed on a desk or an entire floor plan.
To take the FS Desk Challenge*;
1. Clear the desk top. Everything! Dust and clean the desk top, bulletin boards, coffee cups and all you touch.
2. Assess each item before you place it back on your desk. Ask; Do I really need this item? Does it represent or support my needs and my goals?
3. Continue assessing every item you took off your desk. Make piles to recycle, redistribute and for general garbage.
4. Take a short rest if you need to, but try to keep up the momentum and work on the drawers on the left side, then the right side. Same process; take everything out of the drawers, clean everything, assess and rearrange with a purpose.
5. Check under your desk for stale clutter and forgotten items.
Remember; You need fresh Energy to move towards your goals, so move something!
