The Numbers Game: What can numbers tell us about a name, a title or business?
The study of numbers and how they relate with humans and their activities has been around for the ages. Numerology is a separate science from feng shui, but many of these core facts are related and put into play. This knowledge can reinforce, help with a task or validate a decision. Each number has aspects similar to the Five Elements Cycle in feng shui, as each carries auspicious traits.
Can you recall the Beijing Olympics in 2008? The organizing committee chose an auspicious date and time. The games kicked off at exactly 8/8/08 at 8:00pm! Many Chinese believe that you can enhance your life using numbers, influencing daily events.
By evaluating decision options with numbers,
you can assist in predicting an outcome.
The logic: there are only 10 numbers in the universe. Any number with two digits or more can be reduced to a single digit. Therefore, 10 will reduce to 1+0 = 1. 23 becomes 2+3 = 5. 481 will reduce twice; 4+8+1=13 and 1+3= 4.
Just for fun; add up your address numbers to find what your single number reveals about you and your home.
Characters of the alphabet can also be assigned a specific number. To check if your name is ‘lucky’, or if the title of a book could be a best seller, you will need to convert the alpha letters into numbers, and then add them up. There is a whole science that goes into manipulating the outcome. Some people change the spelling of their names, others change their house numbers; revealing the power and influence of the unseen karma.
The logic: If you could ‘choose’ a number for certain things, you could feel more confident that you have participated or done-your-best in predicting the results.
The alpha/numeric association: Each letter is assigned to a number. Spell out your word(s) and then add them up. You can explore what your name, or business name says about you!
